Imani Collective is an organization that works in community development and ethical business in Mombasa, Kenya. Their story starts with the founder, Jenny, going to Kenya in search of education projects to support. She quickly realized that stable and dignified work for the parents was the most effective way to provide education for the children, and well being for the whole family.
Today, Imani Collective provides safe jobs to over 80 women & men in Mombasa, and state wide. They pay 2.6x minimum wage, and provide benefits to their artisans and families to ensure they are well taken care of. They invest in community development, scholarships, education & training, and childcare for their artisans.
